在演讲的汽车部分中，黄提出了Alexnet，Alexnet是一种神经网络建筑，在赢得了计算机图像识别竞赛后于2012年著名。由计算机科学家Alex Krizhevsky与Ilya Sutskever一起设计的Alexnet，后来共同创立了OpenAI，AI研究员Geoffrey Hinton在Imagenet学术竞争中得分84.7％。
这项成就引发了人们对深度学习的重新兴趣，这是利用神经网络的机器学习的专业领域。
