Xiaomi YU7 Standard Edition Features Latest XLA Cognitive Large Model, Real-World Range Achievement Rate Exceeds 97%

As the smart car arms race intensifies, automakers are competing fiercely on underlying AI large models and hardware configurations. On May 31, Xiaomi Auto released its latest "Answer to Netizens" session, addressing key market concerns about the YU7 standard model's intelligent features, real-world range, and braking system.
Regarding intelligent driving, Xiaomi Auto confirmed that the YU7 standard model will ship with the latest "Xiaomi XLA Cognitive Large Model." To support continuous evolution, the hardware remains uncompromised, featuring a Thor chip with 700 TOPS, lidar, and 4D millimeter-wave radar, among other high-end perception and computing components. This provides a solid foundation for future HAD driver-assistance OTA updates.
In addition to its "high-entry" intelligent configuration, the YU7 standard model's range has passed rigorous third-party field tests. Official data shows a CLTC range of 643 km. In a real-world test on Beijing's Fifth Ring Road with three passengers (approx. 250 kg), the vehicle covered 578 km before the battery indicator showed 0%, achieving an 89.9% range attainment rate with average consumption of 12.8 kWh/100 km. Even after battery depletion, the car could travel an additional 48.5 km, bringing the total to 626.5 km and an impressive 97.4% attainment rate.
Addressing concerns about braking performance, the official response stated that the YU7 standard model uses the same braking hardware architecture as the higher-end Long Range and Pro models, both equipped with front four-piston fixed calipers and rear floating calipers. Because the standard model has a smaller battery pack, its curb weight is lighter. Therefore, the braking system that performs well on the Long Range model offers more than sufficient braking performance and safety on the standard model.
