Riskified Unveils Strategy Builder to Enhance AI Agent Platform

Industry Challenges: The Hidden Risks of AI Shopping Assistants
As retail fully embraces the "Agent Commerce" era, a growing number of merchants are deploying native conversational AI shopping assistants. However, this innovation has a downside: fraud groups are now leveraging AI agents to automate refund scams, dealer arbitrage, and promotion abuse.
Riskified, a leader in e-commerce fraud protection, recently announced a major expansion of its AI agent platform. The company highlights that transaction risks from large language model (LLM) traffic are often significantly higher—in some industries, the risk level is 2.3 times greater than traffic from Google Search. To tackle this challenge, Riskified is focused on building a robust risk intelligence layer that balances personalized service with security.
Core Upgrades: Dual Protection with Identity Signals and Policy Builder
Assaf Feldman, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Riskified, emphasized the company's role as a "trust agent," injecting real-time risk intelligence into every critical moment of AI interactions. This upgrade introduces two key features:
AI Agent Identity Signals: This capability leverages Riskified's vast cross-merchant network data to evaluate the real identity behind an AI agent in real time. It helps merchant AI assistants instantly determine whether a user qualifies for instant refunds or exchanges during a conversation, ensuring every AI-facilitated transaction is secure.
AI Agent Policy Builder: This is a dedicated management tool for merchants. It allows businesses to configure and enforce targeted defense policies, effectively blocking automated return abuse and malicious order padding—preventing the AI shopping model from becoming a liability instead of a profit channel.
Strategic Partnership: Building a Trusted Ecosystem for Agent Commerce
Beyond its new platform features, Riskified also announced a deep collaboration with cybersecurity firm HUMAN Security. By integrating HUMAN's AgenticTrust technology with Riskified's risk management expertise, merchants can apply consistent trust and security strategies across both human and AI-driven customer interactions.
