Ant Group Begins Spring Campus Hiring with Heavy Focus on AI and Tech Roles
On March 10, Ant Group kicked off its spring 2026 campus recruitment drive. The company announced via its official WeChat account that technical roles make up 85% of this season’s openings, with more than 70% focused directly on artificial intelligence. Key hiring areas include large-scale model algorithms, multimodal generation, data intelligence, foundational platform development, and AI security. Positions are available across several global cities such as Hangzhou, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, San Francisco, and London. For the sixth year running, Ant has maintained technical hiring above 80%, underscoring its sustained investment in AI and pursuit of artificial general intelligence (AGI).

For recent graduates, Ant Group offers multiple campus recruitment tracks featuring diverse business roles, internships, and research positions to attract a wide range of young talent. Since 2016, the company has run the "Ant Star" program aimed at top technical graduates—typically master’s or PhD candidates with strong academic and competition records—who receive premium compensation and support. In 2025, Ant introduced a specialized AI talent track under this program to recruit promising graduates worldwide who are passionate about technology, innovation, and research. By providing cutting-edge projects, high-quality resources, and top-tier development opportunities, Ant aims to cultivate the next generation of technology leaders.
The rising share of technical roles and AI talent investment aligns with Ant's strategic priorities. In a recent public interview, CEO Han Xinyi shared that Ant aims to use AI to safeguard users’ financial and physical well-being—a vision she calls the "Have Money to Spend, Have Life to Spend" AI strategy. During the recent Lunar New Year holiday, this "Two Flowers" initiative delivered strong results: Alipay’s "AI Pay" became the world’s first AI-native payment product to exceed 100 million users and transactions. At the same time, the "Ant Afu" health app rapidly surpassed 100 million users, becoming the world’s largest health-focused AI application.

In Ant’s innovative, exploration-driven AI environment, even new graduates can take the lead on technical directions. This seniority-agnostic approach to talent development has precedents inside the company: Zhang, who joined via campus recruitment in 2016, now serves as technical director of Ant’s Basic Intelligence Department. He oversees multiple intelligent systems, including the Ant Bailing large language model, Ling. Work under his leadership has resulted in more than 100 papers accepted at top-tier international conferences and journals—such as NeurIPS, ICLR, and VLDB—and over 40 authorized patents. He has also received the Wu Wenjun AI Technology Progress Award (2020) from the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence and the Electronic Society’s Science and Technology Progress Award (2022).
Ant Group provides new graduates with a comprehensive training and course system to accelerate their growth, along with employee benefits such as housing subsidies and healthcare support. In 2025, Forbes China recognized Ant as one of China’s Best Employers for the fourth consecutive year. In its evaluation, Forbes noted that Ant drives technological self-reliance through talent, expands industrial frontiers via innovation, and turns each tech iteration into an engine for high-quality employment.
