Encore AI Secures $30M Funding to Develop Customer Call-Driven AI Agents
Encore AI, a startup that analyzes corporate customer interactions to train and deploy AI voice agents capable of collaborating with support and sales teams or operating independently, has secured $30 million in Series A funding led by Team8.
Established in 2022 as Insait IO by CEO Dvir Ginzburg, the company initially developed recommendation software for financial advisers and relationship managers. Now rebranded as Encore AI, the startup has evolved this system into a platform that examines conversations between employees and customers to identify successful strategies, using these insights to train its AI agents.
According to Ginzburg, the result is an AI agent that leverages the most effective elements of an organization’s employee playbooks.
“Sometimes our agents even replicate the jokes told by relationship managers, or share their anecdotes and examples, because we strictly follow the playbooks that prove effective […] The agent we build is a composite of various successful playbooks observed throughout the process,” he told TechCrunch in an exclusive interview.
Ginzburg refers to this process as “interaction mining.” The company’s platform aggregates call recordings, emails, and text messages, integrating this data with CRM systems. It then segments customer interactions into stages to determine which parts of a conversation advanced the process and which did not.
This enables Encore’s agents, and consequently its customers, to learn what works best for specific clients or interactions. As Ginzburg noted, different employees may be more or less effective at various points during a sales or customer success process.
The platform also allows companies to pinpoint shortcomings in existing customer support and sales processes, identify inefficiencies and friction points, and address key issues.

Encore states that its agents can communicate directly with customers via voice or text, while also acting as assistants to employees by recommending responses and tactics during conversations.
The company serves more than 40 enterprise customers globally, primarily financial institutions, according to Ginzburg. He mentioned that Encore’s annual recurring revenue has grown by more than 5x since its seed round less than 18 months ago, though he declined to disclose exact revenue figures or valuation.
Although Encore entered the market early, its share may become harder to defend as major CRM providers like Salesforce, SAP, Zoho, and HubSpot develop similar AI capabilities around their customers’ data. However, Ginzburg argues that data access alone is insufficient, as established vendors would need to overhaul their processes to make historical customer conversations the foundation of their agents, as Encore does.
“The biggest players we compete against do not view [conversational] history as a data point they utilize. For them to start requesting conversational data from their current employees would require changing their entire implementation stack and technological stack,” he said.
Planven, Lukatz, and Garage also participated in the round, along with several banks and insurers. Encore noted that some financial institutions participating in the round first used its product before deciding to invest.
The startup plans to use the Series A proceeds to expand its U.S. sales operations and deploy its platform with more large financial institutions.
