Pickle Robot Appoints First CFO, a Former Tesla Executive

Pickle Robot, a company specializing in autonomous unloading robots for warehouses and distribution centers, has appointed a new chief financial officer. This news follows a recent report of a significant deal with UPS.
The Charlestown, Massachusetts-based firm announced the hiring of Jeff Evanson as its CFO on Thursday. Evanson had been consulting for the company since last September and recently transitioned to a full-time position.
Prior to joining Pickle, Evanson served as Vice President of Global Investor Relations and Strategy at Tesla from 2011 to 2017. In that capacity, he worked directly with Elon Musk and played a key role in securing debt and equity financing to support the launch of several Tesla vehicle models and company acquisitions.
Evanson is Pickle Robot’s first CFO. He joins the company, founded in 2018 with approximately $100 million in venture capital, as it reportedly expands its partnership with shipping leader UPS. According to a Bloomberg report, UPS is investing $120 million to acquire 400 of Pickle's robots, with deployment scheduled to begin in late 2026 and early 2027.
Pickle declined to comment on the UPS report this week. A company spokesperson did confirm that UPS has been a customer for several years but did not specify when the partnership began.
