Pudu Technology Inc. announced today that it has secured nearly $150 million in a new funding round. The company stated that this investment pushes its valuation past $1.5 billion, with total cumulative funding now exceeding $300 million.
“This funding achievement strongly validates Pudu’s industry leadership, product and technological capabilities, global brand, and commercial infrastructure,” said Felix Zhang, founder and CEO of Pudu Robotics. “Supported by our strategic investors and industrial partners, Pudu will continue to advance the frontiers of embodied AI and commercial service robotics. We remain dedicated to innovating with an inventor’s mindset and applying a global perspective to accelerate robot adoption, raising the industry to new levels within the global value chain.”
Pudu describes itself as a global leader in service robotics, concentrating its R&D, manufacturing, and sales on three core technological areas: mobility, manipulation, and artificial intelligence. Headquartered in Shenzhen, China, the company offers three main product lines: delivery robots, commercial cleaning systems, and logistics platforms.
Pudu’s systems are deployed across ten sectors, including food and beverage, retail, hospitality, healthcare, entertainment and sports, industrial facilities, and education.
Pudu expands its service robot lineup with industrial models
Since its founding in 2016, Pudu has primarily focused on developing mobile service robots. In recent years, however, it has begun expanding into robotics for warehouse and manufacturing applications. In 2024, the company launched the PUDU T300, a mobile robot built to navigate narrow aisles and handle heavy payloads.
Earlier this year, Pudu introduced the PUDU T150, a delivery robot designed for lighter loads. The company developed the T150 for material handling tasks in manufacturing and warehouse settings. Initial availability will be in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
This autonomous mobile robot (AMR) will also be launched in select high-growth markets, including Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, and Turkey.
Pudu stated that the new funds will be strategically allocated to accelerate the development of its embodied AI technologies. The company also plans to broaden its product portfolio, deepen its global market expansion, scale up manufacturing capacity, and further strengthen its supply chain capabilities.
Chinese robotics firms secure substantial funding
Pudu is not the only Chinese robotics company to recently close a major funding round. Earlier this month, D-Robotics, which focuses on building computing platforms and general-purpose hardware and software infrastructure for consumer robots and embodied AI, reportedly raised $270 million in a Series B round.
The Shenzhen-based company said it will use the capital to advance its embodied intelligence platform. D-Robotics aims to further integrate hardware and software, develop edge-cloud systems to fuel product innovation, expand its global presence, and grow its developer ecosystem.
