Oura's AI health coach is live for everyone - here's what it can do for you

Starting this Monday, Oura app subscribers will have a new friend to chat with about their health - the Oura Advisor. This personal health chatbot, which was previously exclusive to Oura Labs users, is now making its permanent home in the Oura app. Utilizing the biometric data collected by the smart ring, the Advisor offers personalized daily and weekly guidance, and is ready to answer any health-related questions you might have.

The AI-powered health coach is rolling out with some exciting upgrades to make your experience even better. One of the standout improvements is the Advisor's enhanced memory, which now allows it to recall past conversations and make more insightful connections about your habits and trends. Speaking of trends, the Advisor can now spot and discuss them thanks to its new ability to access long-term health data. It'll even show these trends in cool data visualizations like graphs and charts. Plus, the Advisor's tone can now adapt based on your feedback, making your interactions feel more personal. And when you're not chatting, the Oura Advisor can still keep the conversation going by generating topics on its own.

The Oura Advisor was first introduced in beta through Oura Labs, a space where users can try out and give feedback on new features in the works. During its beta phase, Oura discovered that 60% of users were engaging with the Advisor multiple times a week, and the same percentage felt it helped them better understand their health metrics. The Oura Advisor is the second feature from Oura Labs to make it big in the app, following the Symptom Radar, which tracks strain in the body and alerts users to potential health issues.

I've had a few sessions with the experimental Oura Advisor through Oura Labs, and it's been quite useful. Instead of just looking at numbers, I can tell it how I'm feeling about my activity, sleep, or eating habits. Just this morning, I shared with it about my recent healthy eating and activity streak and my hesitation about breaking it to dine out with friends tonight. The Advisor reminded me that balancing my social life with well-being is key, and suggested I make dining choices that support my well-being goals. It even added, "Well-being includes nourishment and enjoyment, so savor the evening without stress." Pretty smart, right?

The Oura Advisor is now available globally in the app and speaks English.
