Volcano Engine MaaS Raises Annual Revenue Target to 15 Billion Yuan; Seedance 2.0 Monthly Revenue Tops 1 Billion Yuan

Driven by the rapid growth of its video large model Seedance 2.0, Volcano Engine raised its annual revenue target for the MaaS (Model as a Service) business to 15 billion yuan in April this year, with the target being adjusted upward almost every month, according to 36Kr.
In comparison, Volcano Engine's target set at the end of 2025 was only 10 billion yuan, while its actual MaaS revenue in 2025 is estimated at around 1.5 billion yuan. This means the latest revenue target of 15 billion yuan is ten times the previous year's actual revenue, indicating exceptionally strong growth momentum.
The leapfrog growth in Volcano Engine's MaaS business is almost entirely due to the strong commercial performance of its flagship video model, Seedance 2.0. Data shows that Seedance 2.0 now generates over 1 billion yuan in monthly revenue, a figure that is still growing rapidly.
Notably, this impressive performance was achieved despite the fact that Seedance 2.0's API has not yet been fully launched in overseas markets. As the overseas market gradually expands, Volcano Engine's revenue expectations for the MaaS business are likely to keep rising.
Industry analysis suggests that the profitability of Seedance 2.0 not only confirms the rapid application of video generation technology at the application layer, but also signals a shift for AI large models from "technical exploration" to the "deep waters" of "scaled monetization." The surge in Volcano Engine's MaaS business may lead the entire AI industry to reconsider the commercial ceiling and market premium potential of end-to-end video models.
