HomeZhipu AI Launches AutoClaw App, Enables Cloud and Local Dual-Mode Use
Just two months after the PC version of AutoClaw launched in March 2026, Zhipu AI — a leading large model maker in China — has already introduced a new mobile entry point, debuting the AutoClaw app exclusively on the App Store. This move expands the ways users can interact with AI agents, letting them command tasks from their phones anytime and anywhere, while also marking a key step for Zhipu AI as it accelerates its mobile ecosystem and lowers the barrier to entry.
As a new mobile access point, the AutoClaw app stays closely aligned with the PC version in its core rules. The rules for creating and managing agents and groups remain unchanged, while the app also supports real-time sync and on-demand editing of account information across multiple devices. For execution, it introduces a dual-mode setup: users can run tasks locally via “Lobster” mode, which keeps the PC online, or switch to cloud “Lobster” mode to run tasks in the cloud without needing a computer.
While the mobile app significantly improves access to core features, the current version is still incomplete. Several features are missing, including the “Hermes Evolution Dashboard” for viewing evolution records, “Usage Statistics” for tracking token consumption, the MCP (Model Context Protocol) service entry for integrating external tools, as well as one-click connections to popular IM platforms like WeChat, Feishu, Enterprise WeChat, and DingTalk, plus the Skill store and other ecosystem entries.
The fast shift from PC to mobile mirrors the broader AI industry’s move toward mobile platforms. For light users, the mobile version lowers the traditional download and setup barrier, helping core features reach a wider audience more quickly. As more functions roll out and services align, AutoClaw’s multi-device collaboration ecosystem will continue to improve, pushing AI agents toward widespread, everyday use.
