Xiaohongshu Unveils First AI Governance Principles Targeting AI Infringement, Forgery, Impersonation
Xiaohongshu has introduced its "AI Governance Principles," emphasizing AI's constructive role in content creation while firmly opposing harmful AI practices. As AI technology evolves, more creators are leveraging it to boost productivity and push creative boundaries. However, the widespread adoption of AI also introduces new challenges for the community.
These governance principles encourage creators to treat AI as a creative amplifier, using tools to overcome creative blocks and spark new ideas. At the same time, the platform asks all users to honestly label AI-related content to preserve information authenticity and transparency. To maintain community trust, Xiaohongshu stated that any AI-generated content not proactively labeled will be marked by the platform, ensuring users can clearly identify it.
Xiaohongshu stressed that it will always uphold the bottom line of authenticity and the safety red line, firmly opposing four types of AI behaviors, including AI fraud and infringement. To this end, the platform will continue strengthening its ability to identify and govern AI content, so it can effectively respond to the challenges AI brings.
Additionally, Xiaohongshu plans to launch an appeal channel for AI notes, making it easier for users to provide feedback and report AI content, thereby enhancing governance capabilities and better supporting the community's authentic sharing. Through these measures, the platform hopes to work with users to maintain a real, fair, and welcoming community environment.
