Tinder Launches AI Game to Test Flirting Skills

You know the online dating world is in a weird spot when even big players like Tinder are rolling out AI personas for users to flirt with. On Tuesday, they dropped the news about a new game powered by OpenAI, where you can chat up an AI bot to hone your flirting skills, try out cute meet scenarios, and even get scored on how you're doing.

To dive into Tinder's The Game Game, just hit the Tinder logo in the top-left corner of the app. You'll get a bunch of cards, each with a unique AI persona and a scenario. It's all about using your voice to flirt and see if you can score a date with the bot.

After you're done chatting, you get scored on a three-point scale with flame emojis. The AI gives you feedback as you go, and if you're being a bit of a jerk, it'll nudge you on how to be nicer in your convo.

But here's the thing, flirting with AI bots is getting kinda popular, and Tinder's probably hoping this will help them pull in more users while they're trying to grow. There are already other apps out there like Replika's Blush, Teaser, and Rizz doing similar stuff.

Tinder's also been playing around with other AI stuff, like their AI photo selector that came out last year, and they're planning more AI features for finding matches and making connections.
