Skylight launches Calendar 2 to streamline family schedules
Skylight initially launched as a digital picture frame, but has since evolved to help families coordinate their lives through shared calendars, task lists, meal planning tools, and other organizational features.
At CES 2026, the company introduced its newest offering: the Skylight Calendar 2. This model features a more refined design compared to the original 15-inch version, yet is more compact than the 27-inch wall-mounted Calendar Max. Similar to its larger sibling, this digital calendar and family organizer allows you to customize its frame with various colors to complement your home's aesthetic.
The standout feature isn't just the digital display, but the sophisticated software and AI integration. Its core functionality—the calendar—seamlessly combines schedules from every service your family uses, whether it's Google Calendar, iCal, Microsoft, or even sports apps like TeamSnap for your children's activities.
Each family member's schedule is color-coded for quick identification. The system can even process informal schedules—like emails containing important dates or flyers from your child's backpack—using AI to scan printed materials and automatically add new events to the calendar.

The interface is thoughtfully designed for clarity and ease of use, incorporating vibrant colors and visual cues that enable even young children to navigate the system. Pre-readers can complete chores by recognizing corresponding images, while parents appreciate meal planning tools that range from simple day-of-the-week planning to generating complete recipes and shopping lists. Skylight streamlines this process by automatically compiling ingredient lists and even syncing them with your Instacart account.
Another innovative AI feature analyzes photos of your refrigerator's contents to suggest recipes based on available ingredients.
