Samsung's First Smart Glasses Leak Reveals Meta Ray-Ban Design

According to the latest leaks, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy smart glasses bear a striking resemblance in design to Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses. Codenamed "Jinju," the new device is anticipated to debut at next month's Google I/O event, with a projected price between $379 and $499. This positions it as a direct competitor to the display-less Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2.
Reports indicate the Samsung glasses will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 processor, feature a 12-megapixel Sony IMX681 camera, and house a 155mAh battery alongside bone conduction speakers. Notably, the design omits an internal display. Samsung appears to be holding that feature for a more advanced model, codenamed "Haean," which is slated for a 2027 release with a price tag of $600 to $900, targeting an updated version of the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses.
If not unveiled at May's Google I/O, Samsung's first smart glasses could launch at an Unpacked event later this year. The company previously announced a partnership with Google to develop smart glasses for a 2025 release, following last year's introduction of their first Android XR device—the Galaxy XR headset.
Earlier this year, Samsung also mentioned another smart glasses model planned for 2026, though its design and specifications are still under wraps. These glasses are part of Google's broader Android XR platform collaborations, which include partners like Warby Parker, Gentle Monster, and, more recently, Gucci.
