OpenRouter Debuts Anonymous Models Hunter Alpha and Healer Alpha with Multimodal Support
The OpenRouter platform has recently introduced two intriguing new models: Hunter Alpha and Healer Alpha, sparking widespread discussion within the community.
Leaked details suggest Hunter Alpha boasts an impressive 1 trillion parameters and a 100,000-token context length. It supports multimodal inputs while generating text outputs, with a generation speed of approximately 48 tokens per second. This model is optimized for agentic workflows, demonstrating exceptional capabilities in long-term planning, complex reasoning, and executing multi-step tasks, positioning it as a cutting-edge tool for autonomous agents.

The other model, Healer Alpha, features a context window of 262K tokens. While its total parameter count is undisclosed, an output speed of up to 93 tokens per second suggests its activated parameters might be roughly half of Hunter Alpha's. Healer Alpha also accepts multimodal input, with a strong emphasis on visual and auditory understanding and real-world interaction, described as a state-of-the-art omni-modal model integrating sight, sound, reasoning, and action.
Both models are currently in a stealth launch from the same undisclosed provider and are offered free of charge for now, with the note that all prompts and completions may be recorded to aid model improvement.

Some online speculation points to DeepSeek-V4, but analysis of the provider's history suggests a stronger likelihood that these are new-generation models from ZhiPu AI (Z.ai). The same provider previously anonymously released Pony Alpha, later confirmed to be GLM-5. Consequently, the prevailing community theory is:
Hunter Alpha likely corresponds to ZhiPu's new flagship text model, representing a significant parameter leap to the 1T scale.Healer Alpha may be GLM-5V or a new omni-modal, multimodal version. The official identity of these models remains unconfirmed, and their specific performance metrics and true ownership are yet to be verified. We await further revelations!
