Guidde Leverages AI for Streamlined Software Training Video Creation
Creating corporate training videos for software can be a daunting task, especially for organizations managing numerous software licenses. While these videos are essential for getting employees up to speed quickly, producing them often requires the effort of entire teams, making it a significant undertaking.
Yoav Einav, an entrepreneur from Tel Aviv, believed there had to be a more efficient and cost-effective way to produce these training videos. Along with his friend Dan Sahar, they embarked on a mission to find a solution. In 2020, their efforts culminated in the launch of their startup, Guidde.
Guidde harnesses the power of AI to automatically generate instructional video clips that teach users how to navigate various applications. The process involves capturing a user's in-app activities and transforming these recordings into a video complete with a "storyline."
Videos produced by Guidde can be enhanced with an AI-generated voice in any desired language, background music, and tags that pinpoint essential features of the software. Additionally, Guidde provides basic video editing tools, including options for motion transitions, adjusting frame timing, and cropping.

You might be curious about whether people actually engage with these training videos. It's a valid concern; a 2019 Kaltura survey revealed that 67% of employees tend not to give their full attention to in-house training videos, often skimming through them or multitasking while listening.
Einav believes this issue stems from two main problems. First, many training videos lack the engaging quality needed to hold viewers' interest due to subpar production values. Second, these videos are often hard to find within clunky interfaces.
To address these challenges, Guidde has recently ventured into video recommendations with a new feature called Guidde Broadcast. Described by Einav as a "Netflix for organizations," this feature aims to boost software engagement by delivering personalized, "just-in-time" training content directly within a user's workflow.
According to Einav, Guidde is experiencing robust growth, with revenues quadrupling over the past year. The platform now supports over 100,000 users across 2,000 organizations, including well-known names like American Eagle Outfitters, Carta, and Nasdaq.

This month, Guidde, which employs 35 people, successfully raised $15 million in a funding round led by Qualcomm Ventures. This brings the total funding to $30 million. Einav plans to use the new funds to enhance Guidde's localization tools, expand enterprise sales and customer success teams, and increase its global market presence.
“We’ve managed to navigate through recent challenges and remain committed to a cautious and modest financial strategy, which has been successful so far,” Einav stated. “We see the future in a system that effortlessly integrates the creation and delivery of highly engaging, AI-driven, video-first content. Our aim is to pioneer this evolving field and establish the benchmark for intelligent, immersive content experiences.”
