While Gemini's guided learning and ChatGPT's recently announced study mode both aim to support authentic learning, their success ultimately depends on whether students embrace these tools for deeper understanding over shortcut solutions.
In parallel developments, Google announced complimentary 12-month access to its AI Pro Plan for U.S. and international students aged 18+ who register by October 6th. The company is also allocating $1 billion over three years toward American education initiatives, encompassing AI literacy curriculum development, academic research grants, and cloud infrastructure resources.
