The Viture One offered a virtual 120-inch display, but the Viture Pro takes it up a notch with a 135-inch display at three meters away. This 10% increase in size helps reduce the edge blurriness that some users experienced with the Viture One. Now, I can enjoy the full display with the Viture Pro, and it's a game-changer. The experience is simply fantastic.

Oh, and I also had the chance to try out smart glasses with built-in hearing aids at CES, and let me tell you, they worked surprisingly well!

The refresh rate has been bumped up from 60Hz to 120Hz, which makes a noticeable difference, especially when gaming. My daughter is hooked on using the Viture Pro headset for her Nintendo Switch games. She says it's way better than any other way she's played before. Thanks to the smoother gameplay and movies, the Viture Pro glasses are a hit.

The most striking upgrade in the Viture Pro is the brightness. With a micro LED display that reaches up to 4000 nits, compared to the Viture One's 1800 nits, the 120% increase is night and day. I had no idea what I was missing until I tried the Viture Pro glasses.

It's also reassuring to know that these glasses come with SGA A+ low-eye fatigue certification. I've spent hours watching content through them without feeling any strain. Plus, the integrated myopia dials are a lifesaver for me when I'm not wearing my contacts. They're perfect for long flights when contacts and airplane air can be irritating.

I used to need a lens shade for my Viture One glasses during my commute to block out light, but the Viture Pro has made that unnecessary with its improved electrochromic film. While you might still want to use a shade for extra protection, Viture offers some cool options. The fact that you don't need a shade anymore is a game-changer for air travel. I no longer have to take off my glasses or cover them to chat with flight attendants. Just press the button on the left to toggle the light-blocking function on or off. Viture claims it blocks 99.9% of light, and I can confirm that's spot on.

Also, CES 2025 showcased the 8 most advanced smart glasses we tried, and we were impressed by all of them.

While I typically use earbuds with the Viture XR glasses for noise cancellation, the audio from the Viture Pro is impressive, thanks to their partnership with Harman. The sound comes from the side frames down to your ears, and it's quiet enough that people next to you can barely hear it. It's great to have your ears free in certain situations while still enjoying clear audio from the glasses.

The SpaceWalker app, which lets you access multi-screen functionality, is still a must-have on my MacBook Pro. A Windows version is on its way, too. Being able to use up to three virtual displays on my laptop with just a USB-C connection makes the Viture Pro glasses an essential accessory for boosting productivity and privacy at work. Plus, the new trackpad mode for iPhone in SpaceWalker is a nice touch.

Alongside the Viture Pro XR glasses, Viture has launched the Viture Pro Mobile Dock, which supports 3D content like games, iPhone spatial videos, and 3D movies. With two XR glasses slots, you and your family can enjoy this content together. The Pro Mobile Dock also boasts a longer battery life with its 13,000mAh capacity.

Also, the MIT Reality Hack showed us the growing momentum in VR, AR, and XR.

I also tested the Mobile Dock mount that connects the Viture Mobile Dock Pro to a Nintendo Switch, making the connection more robust than just a small USB-C cable.

ZDNET's Buying Advice

The Viture Pro XR glasses offer significant improvements over the Viture One, making them the top XR glasses on the market right now. Viture offers a few accessories, but if you have a USB-C compatible phone or computer, the Viture Pro glasses are all you need for an amazing big-screen experience in a portable package. Plus, Viture includes a sturdy zippered carrying case that holds the glasses and USB-C cable, ensuring they're well-protected.
