Apple iOS 27 Details Revealed: Three AI Photo Editing Tools Assist, Supports Canvas Imagination
The eagerly awaited WWDC26 Worldwide Developers Conference is scheduled to begin on June 8. According to the latest reports, Apple will launch iOS 27, with its primary focus on three innovative AI-powered photo editing tools designed to reconstruct images in seconds.
The updated Photos app will feature a new "Apple Intelligence Tools" menu. The standout feature is "Extend," which uses generative AI to automatically fill in background areas beyond the original photo's edges.
Smart Features Redefine Images
Beyond the extension tool that can "imagine" missing scenes, the system also includes an "Enhance" feature. This tool accurately identifies and optimizes image quality by intelligently adjusting lighting balance and color saturation.
For spatial images, Apple has introduced the "Reframe" tool. Users can freely switch viewing angles during post-editing, significantly enhancing the immersive experience and visual impact of spatial photos.
Challenges Remain During Testing
Although the functional concepts are highly appealing, the current development process appears to face hurdles. Internal test data indicates that due to ongoing refinements of the underlying model, the stability of frame expansion and perspective reconfiguration still requires improvement.
Apple's team is actively optimizing the algorithms to ensure the final user experience meets expectations. If technical performance falls short, some cutting-edge features may be delayed or released initially in a limited pilot phase.
