HomeEx-Snap Exec's AI Video Startup Higgsfield Valued at $1.3B
AI video generation startup Higgsfield has expanded its Series A funding, adding $80 million to the $50 million round it closed in September. This brings the total Series A to $130 million, valuing the company at $1.3 billion.
Higgsfield provides a platform for consumers, creators, and social media teams to produce and refine AI-generated videos. The company was founded by Alex Mashrabov, who previously led Generative AI at Snap and co-founded AI Factory, which Snap acquired for $166 million in 2020.
Five months after launch, Higgsfield reported 11 million users and had become a preferred platform for content creators. Now, nine months in, user numbers have surpassed 15 million, and the company is on a $200 million annual revenue run rate—doubling from $100 million in just about two months.
According to its press release, Higgsfield believes this growth trajectory outpaces companies like Lovable, Cursor, OpenAI, Slack, and Zoom, placing it in an elite category.
To shift its image from an AI content generator to a professional business tool, Higgsfield now highlights that its platform is widely used by social media marketers—a sign that adoption has moved beyond casual content creation.
Nevertheless, the platform still serves as an engine for AI-generated content. Last month, for example, it was used to create "Island Holiday," a video featuring individuals from the Epstein files alongside fictional characters on a vacation at Epstein’s island. On a more positive note, users also share creative projects focused on fashion and Hollywood-style storytelling.
