Google запустил специализированное ИИ-ориентированное инструментирование для UI-дизайна

Google recently presented a revolutionary generative AI tool named "Stitch," aimed at transforming the way developers approach UI design. Accessible through Google Labs, this experiment is fueled by Gemini 2.5 Pro and guarantees to turn vague ideas into refined, app-ready designs in just minutes. At Google's I/O event, the company highlighted how Stitch removes the cumbersome process of manually creating individual design elements and coding around them, providing developers with a shortcut to efficiency. With Stitch, developers can enter text-based descriptions and even upload visual references to guide the design process. Themes, color schemes, and desired user experiences can all be specified using simple language—currently supported in English. For instance, developers can upload wireframes, rough sketches, or screenshots of existing UIs to ensure the final output matches their vision. A notable feature is Stitch’s ability to generate multiple variations of a single design, enabling teams to effortlessly explore diverse styles and layouts. Each iteration comes paired with fully functional front-end code, making it straightforward to integrate directly into applications or export to platforms like Figma for further refinement. This export capability is logical given Figma's established role in the design world, where it excels at collaborative editing and system integration. However, the introduction of Stitch raises interesting questions about its effect on tools like Figma's Make UI building app, which was recently announced. While Stitch appears designed to complement these tools rather than compete directly, Google might also be aiming to retain developers who previously relied on Gemini's Code Assist feature. By offering a seamless workflow from concept to code, Stitch positions itself as a potential game-changer in the development landscape.
