Sony Music has filed a new lawsuit against AI music company Udio in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging unauthorized copying of over 30,000 recordings for AI training. Sony rejects Udio's fair use defense, claiming the infringement harms the commercial copyright market. Udio previously settled with Universal Music and Warner Music.
