LG Electronics unveiled an AI voice assistant for its ThinQ ON smart home hub in collaboration with Microsoft at the Industry Summit in Seoul. Leveraging Speech to Speech technology and Microsoft's Voice Live, the system enables natural interruptions, allowing users to change topics mid-conversation without waiting for responses. This addresses common issues with rigid voice assistants. The feature will launch this year, available to existing users via updates, and targets both residential and commercial sectors including hotels and offices.
