Zhipu MaaS Revenue Surges Past Full-Year Total, Token Usage Jumps 40x

On August 31, Zhipu released its mid-2026 financial results, highlighting a marked acceleration in its commercialization strategy. The company generated 954 million yuan in revenue during the first half of 2026, representing a year-over-year growth of nearly 400%. This half-year revenue already surpassed the total for the entire previous year. A key driver of this growth was the Zhipu MaaS open platform and API business, which contributed 825 million yuan in revenue—a staggering 2,736% year-over-year increase. This segment now accounts for 86.5% of total revenue, establishing cloud-based large model services as the company’s primary commercial foundation.
This expansion in business scale is evident in the rapid growth of its user ecosystem and API demand. By the end of August, token usage on the Zhipu MaaS platform had increased more than 40-fold since the start of the year, while the number of paid daily active users rose by 603%. Furthermore, the average daily usage volume for the top ten core customers surged by 98 times. Concurrently, the average price per API call increased by approximately 101%, reflecting strong market validation of the commercial value and premium service quality of its models.
