The notion that an AI assistant improves with use is now a tangible reality at MiniMax.
The company recently launched MaxHermes, a cloud-based, self-evolving AI assistant built on the Hermes Agent framework. It is also the world's first cloud sandbox product of its kind.
Its core capability is a unique learning loop mechanism. In essence, after completing a complex task, MaxHermes doesn't simply "forget" the experience. Instead, it actively extracts reusable skill units from the process, saving them as independent documents. When faced with similar tasks later, these Skills are automatically loaded and applied directly, eliminating the need for repeated exploration from scratch. Crucially, feedback from each new usage is fed back into these Skills, driving their continuous iteration and optimization.
The underlying logic gives the AI a genuine capacity for "experience accumulation"—it doesn't just execute commands but continuously learns and refines its approach during execution. The more it's used, the better it understands both the user and the nature of the tasks themselves.
This stands in contrast to the current paradigm for most AI assistants, which typically "start from scratch with each new conversation." MaxHermes charts a different course. Operating in the cloud means its growing skill library isn't tied to a local device; previously accumulated capabilities are accessible anytime, anywhere.
