Volcano Engine has officially launched the Seedance 2.5 API service today. The new version has been upgraded in terms of instruction following, long narratives, realism, and audio-visual quality compared to Seedance 2.0, further enhancing AI video generation capabilities.
Seedance 2.5 supports direct output of 30-second videos natively, with a maximum of 50 multimodal material references, and offers more accurate and stable video editing capabilities. It also supports more than a dozen languages. The model has been further optimized in key video elements such as image quality, audio quality, lighting, camera movement, and overall aesthetics, making AI-generated content closer to cinematic long narrative effects.
Volcano Engine stated that enterprise practices show that the realism and visual quality of video generation are important foundations for expanding commercial applications. The upgrade of Seedance 2.5 will provide more possibilities for scenarios such as creative advertising and industrial simulation.
Currently, Seedance 2.5 has been synchronized and launched on platforms such as LibTV, Qixiang AI, TapNow, Panqu AI, DreamWeaver Workshop AI, and Xingyu Film Scene, offering enterprises and creators more AI video production tools.
In addition, Seedance 2.0 mini and Seedance 2.0 fast are now available with limited-time discounts. From August 7th to September 7th, Seedance 2.0 mini will be billed at 40% of the standard rate, with a minimum cost of approximately 0.2 yuan per second for 720P; Seedance 2.0 fast will be billed at 75% of the standard rate, with a minimum cost of approximately 0.6 yuan per second for 720P. This upgrade and pricing strategy further lowers the barrier to AI video creation, accelerating the application of generative video technology in commercial fields.
