HomeTVB Launches First Phase of 10-Petaflop AI Computing Facilities in 2027
On August 11, TVB Group Limited (TVB) issued a voluntary announcement confirming the signing of a framework agreement with Triton Square Limited, an affiliate of The Capital Group Companies, Inc. The partnership aims to launch a joint venture delivering advanced AI computing services in Hong Kong.
Under the terms of the deal, TVB and Capital Group will hold 51% and 49% of the ordinary voting shares, respectively. The initiative involves constructing new data centers within TVB’s Tseung Kwan O industrial park. The venture will acquire, deploy, and manage core hardware, including GPUs and CPUs, offering high-performance computing services to external clients and affiliated entities on a demand-driven basis.
The project will unfold in phases, supported by up to HKD 2 billion in equity from Capital Group, supplemented by bank financing and internal resources. Phase 1A targets a computing capacity of roughly 10,000 PetaFLOPS, with operations scheduled to begin in Q4 2027.
