Tencent's Delta Operation Cracks Down on AI Vision Hacks: 10-Year Ban & Criminal Prosecution
The security team behind Tencent's shooter "Delta Operation" recently announced a sweeping crackdown on the "AI visual adhesion" cheating tool, which has been spreading rapidly. This cheat leverages AI visual recognition to assist with aiming, significantly undermining high-level competitive balance within the game.
From a technical standpoint, this cheat avoids conventional methods like reading game memory or modifying files. Instead, it uses live-streaming software such as OBS to capture real-time video, identifies target positions with pre-trained AI models, and translates those results into physical mouse movements for precise automatic aiming and adhesion. In response, the "Delta Operation" team clarified that any use of AI models for competitive advantage constitutes a serious violation, and detection is not limited to memory tampering.
The security team has now extracted core plugin features through reverse engineering and deployed dedicated detection systems. Accounts confirmed to have used this AI visual cheat will face a ten-year ban and permanent blacklisting. Alongside these technical measures, Tencent has worked with law enforcement to initiate criminal prosecution against those involved in creating, distributing, and selling the cheat, ensuring legal consequences for offenders.
