Tencent Unveils BrowserSkill, an Open-Source Browser Automation Tool Empowering AI Agents
As artificial intelligence technology accelerates its practical application, enabling AI Agents to efficiently manage daily web tasks has become a key priority for developers. Recently, Tencent open-sourced BrowserSkill, a browser automation tool specifically designed for intelligent agents.

BrowserSkill is engineered specifically for AI Agents, distinguishing it from traditional Browser Use solutions that function as plugins for large language models. Key features include: first, it fully reuses the browser's existing login status, eliminating the need for re-verification of previously authorized accounts; second, it operates in an independent window, ensuring that user activities such as web browsing or communication remain uninterrupted; finally, it offers high compatibility with mainstream agents through a simple `bsk` command-line interface (CLI), allowing seamless integration with tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Tencent's Workbuddy.
Testing on the [Workbuddy] platform demonstrated its efficiency. Whether searching for trending tech topics on Zhihu and summarizing core viewpoints, or scraping high-rated comments to generate sentiment profiles, these tasks are completed within minutes. The underlying CLI-independent driver and extended intermediary architecture ensure execution speed and stability by removing the need for the model to directly interpret complex web elements.
Industry experts note that BrowserSkill bridges the "last mile" of AI agents' interaction with the real web, offering developers and content creators a new technical pathway for handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
