On March 17, Tencent's AI intelligent workbench ima officially introduced its "ima skills" feature, marking a significant advancement in automated workflows. This update responds to user needs for seamless collaboration between ima and external automation tools. By opening API interfaces, it allows multiple Claw products—including OpenClaw, WorkBuddy, and QClaw (collectively referred to as "lobsters")—to directly interact with ima's internal components. The initial "Notes skill" release covers three core capabilities: content query, reading, and writing. The eagerly awaited "Knowledge Base skill" is also scheduled to launch soon.
On the technical side, users can integrate ima skills via the "Claw Configuration" module in the ima center. The setup involves prompt synchronization and API Key verification, enabling low-barrier cross-platform connectivity. The upgrade's key value is redefining the operational logic between mobile and desktop platforms: when users send commands to Claw-enabled robots in messaging apps like WeChat or QQ, ima skills automatically trigger background processes to perform complex note retrieval or recording tasks without manual effort.
From an industry standpoint, ima's move aligns with the broader trend of AI agents evolving from point-to-point interactions toward ecosystem collaboration. By introducing the Skills mechanism, ima transitions from a basic knowledge base tool into an execution-capable auxiliary system.
