Rox AI Hits $1.2 Billion Valuation in Funding Round

Rox, a startup that develops autonomous AI agents to enhance sales productivity, has secured funding at a valuation of $1.2 billion, according to multiple sources.
The investment round was led by returning investor General Catalyst, two individuals familiar with the matter stated. Rox AI and General Catalyst did not provide comment to TechCrunch's inquiry.
At the time of the funding round, which concluded last year, Rox AI was forecasted to reach $8 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by the end of 2025, as reported by two people with knowledge of the deal.
In November 2024, Rox announced it had raised a total of $50 million. This included a seed round led by Sequoia and a Series A round led by General Catalyst, with additional participation from GV.
Rox was founded in 2024 by Ishan Muckherjee, the former chief growth officer of New Relic. Muckherjee joined New Relic after it acquired Pixie, an observability startup he co-founded.
The company describes itself as an intelligent revenue operating system that integrates with a company's existing software stack—from Salesforce to Zendesk—and deploys hundreds of AI agents. These agents monitor existing accounts, research potential clients, and update the CRM. By consolidating these functions, Rox aims to replace and unify the numerous fragmented software solutions currently used by sales teams.
“Rox’s unique system of AI agents enhances the CRM experience. These agents operate continuously in the background to monitor customer activity, identify potential risks and opportunities, and even recommend optimal actions,” wrote GV investor Dave Munichiello in a 2024 blog post announcing the Series A round.
Rox competes across several categories, including established revenue intelligence providers like Gong and Clari, as well as AI sales development platforms such as 11x and Artisan. Furthermore, a steady stream of new AI-native, all-in-one CRM competitors continues to enter the market, like Sam Blond’s startup Monaco, which launched out of stealth last month.
According to Rox’s website, the company's customers include Ramp, MongoDB, and New Relic.
