Q1 AI App Monthly Active Users Hit New High; Doubao, Qwen, DeepSeek Stay Top Tier

As artificial intelligence technology rapidly spreads, the domestic market for AI-native applications is experiencing explosive growth. QuestMobile's latest "Q1 2026 AI Application Insight Report" reveals that as of March this year, monthly active users (MAU) of domestic AI-native apps surpassed 440 million. This milestone not only reflects the growing mainstream adoption of AI applications but also highlights the industry's robust momentum.
In the intense market competition, the industry's top-tier effect is becoming more pronounced. According to data, Doubaobao , Qianwen , and DeepSeek have secured the top three spots thanks to their superior technology and user experience. Doubaobao leads with 345 million monthly active users, followed by Qianwen with 166 million and DeepSeek with 127 million. In the first quarter alone, the industry gained over 130 million new users, signaling that demand for generative AI products is being rapidly unleashed.
Beyond user growth, engagement and habit formation are also noteworthy. The report shows that in the first quarter of this year, Doubaobao averaged 54.8 monthly uses per user, up 22 from the same period last year. DeepSeek followed with 41.7 uses per user, while KuaiDui AI ranked among the top at 27.6 uses per user. These figures suggest that AI tools are no longer mere novelties; they are evolving into high-frequency assistants in users' daily work and life.
From a corporate perspective, the technology behind these popular apps comes from different companies. Several firms, including Beijing Chuntian Zhiyun Technology Co., Ltd. , Hangzhou DeepSeek AI Basic Technology Research Co., Ltd. , Shanghai Zhixin PuHui Technology Co., Ltd. , and Guangzhou Jimu Future Culture and Technology Co., Ltd. , are emerging as the backbone of this AI wave.
In summary, the Q1 2026 data shows that AI-native applications are shifting from being technology-driven to product-driven. As user scale continues to grow and usage frequency steadily improves, the AI industry has officially entered a new phase of mass adoption.
