Setting up an assistant on You.com requires you to be more detailed with your instructions since it's less guided than ChatGPT. For example, I might write, "Take every text input and translate it into Spanish. Your tone is casual, as you are a friendly Spanish teacher," to combine several prompts into one.
After you've entered your instructions, hit "Create." Your custom assistant will then appear at the top of the search bar, ready for you to use for future tasks. In my case, I can now translate text into Spanish without any additional prompting, making my workflow much smoother.
