NVIDIA Launches First Open-Source Quantum AI Model Ising; Major Funds Boost Quantum Tech Stock Investments

On April 14, NVIDIA officially announced the release of the world’s first open-source quantum AI model series, named Ising. This series is designed to address core engineering challenges in quantum computing, helping researchers and enterprises build fault-tolerant quantum processors capable of running real-world applications. Driven by this major positive news, the quantum technology sector saw a broad rally on the morning of April 15. Shenzhou Information hit the daily limit, while China Xidian, Guodun Quantum, and Luobo Tech led the gains. Luobo Tech recorded a net main fund inflow of nearly 500 million yuan.
The Ising series consists of two core models: Ising Calibration and Ising Decoding. Ising Calibration, a vision-language model, automates the calibration tasks of QPU (quantum processor), addressing hardware instability and parameter drift. Ising Decoding employs 3D convolutional neural networks for quantum error correction decoding, achieving computing speeds 2.5 times faster than the current industry standard, with accuracy improvements of up to 300%. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang noted that Ising will make AI the “control plane” and “operating system” of quantum machines, transforming fragile qubits into scalable, reliable “quantum-GPU systems.”
The model has been open-sourced on GitHub and Hugging Face, and has already been adopted by research institutions such as Harvard University and Berkeley Lab. With the quantum computing market expected to exceed $11 billion by 2030, NVIDIA’s move not only strengthens its ecological leadership in high-performance computing but also marks the transition of quantum computing from laboratory settings to AI-driven full automation, accelerating the commercialization of general-purpose quantum computers.
