NaiTa's AI-Native Community Raises Tens of Millions Led by Jiukun and Baidu Ventures
The AI-native content platform NiTa has secured over $10 million in a Pre-A+ funding round. The investment was led by JiKun Venture Capital, with participation from BV Baidu Venture Capital. Existing backers, including Yuanma Capital and Qiji Chuangtan, also significantly increased their stakes. The capital will fuel the recruitment of elite global talent, accelerate multi-modal technology R&D, and support the launch of new product lines.
NiTa , which debuted in March 2024, was founded by former Meta engineer Hu Xiuhang. The founding team includes seasoned professionals from leading tech firms like ByteDance and Bilibili. The platform simplifies creating virtual characters, along with related images, comics, and short films, using intuitive natural language prompts.

The platform has rapidly grown to over 12 million users. Its community has created 5.84 million unique virtual characters and more than 400 immersive virtual worlds. Highly engaged users spend an average of 110 minutes daily on the platform. Commercially, NiTa has achieved positive unit economics, providing early validation for the profitability of AI-native social ecosystems.
As global AI applications shift toward multi-modal systems and consumer markets, NiTa is positioning itself as a borderless virtual social hub. It aims to establish a new, low-friction standard for digital expression. With declining compute costs and advancing generative AI, highly-engaged communities like this, capable of user-driven content creation, are pivotal in shaping the future of online content consumption.

So they're calling it 'AI-native' just because it uses some AI tools? 🧐 Sounds like another buzzword-fueled round to me. I mean, tens of millions for a content platform that probably just auto-generates captions? Hope the investors know what they're doing. 🤷♂️
So they got millions for an AI-native content platform? I wonder if that means more ads or actually better content... 🤔
Interesting to see Baidu Ventures getting involved in AI-native content platforms. Makes me wonder if this signals a shift towards more specialized AI applications beyond just chatbots. The funding amount is decent, but the space is getting crowded fast. Hope NaiTa focuses on genuine user value and not just chasing trends. 🤔
