Context-Aware AI Creates Descriptive File Names
This feature, called "Suggested Rename," is powered by Microsoft Copilot. Unlike basic batch renaming tools, this AI understands file content and generates clear, descriptive names based on context. It quietly scans files in the background and offers three distinct naming suggestions for users to choose from.
Wide Format Support with Web-Only Launch
The AI feature is expected to launch in June, supporting a broad range of file types including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Markdown, PNG, and JPEG. To keep the system lightweight and responsive, it will initially be available only on the OneDrive web version.
