Mianbi Intelligence Secures Hundreds of Millions in Funding Led by China Telecom to Deepen Edge AI Focus

On February 28, 2026, Mianyi Intelligence closed a financing round worth hundreds of millions of yuan. The round was led by China Telecom , with CITIC Jinshi and CITIC Private Equity joining as co-investors. This deal signals a deeper business collaboration between leading domestic large model startups and top-tier operators. As a strategic investor, China Telecom will provide cloud computing, network, and terminal resources, complementing Mianyi Intelligence's expertise in algorithm deployment across sectors like justice, automotive, and education. Together, they aim to expand the frontiers of AI research and development in complex real-world scenarios.
Currently, the AGI marathon has entered its middle stage, with model knowledge density and commercialization efficiency widely recognized as key success drivers. Li Dahai, CEO of Mianyi Intelligence, stated that the company will continue to make improving model knowledge density its first principle, focusing on developing and open-sourcing high-performance, lightweight models.
This strategic direction aligns seamlessly with China Telecom's Tianyi Cloud as it builds an AI-native cloud-network infrastructure and advances its "Cloud Reform, Digital Transformation, and Intelligent Empowerment" vision. China Telecom Investment Company noted that through this collaborative bond, Tianyi Cloud will explore additional scenario value with Mianyi Intelligence in areas such as government and enterprise services and intelligent terminals.
As the global AI industry accelerates toward edge-side deployment, Mianyi Intelligence's lightweight approach has become a key force in making AI more accessible. This partnership between computing platforms and efficient models not only speeds up the deployment of domestic large models in the physical world but also reflects deep industry capital confidence in the commercial value of efficient large models. With the operator system deeply embedded in the AI ecosystem, the industry is set to accelerate toward the AGI era of universal intelligence.
