Intel's New AI Inference GPU Hardware Teaser Photos Leak Worldwide

High-resolution spy photos of Intel's upcoming data center GPU, codenamed "Crescent Island," have been shared by a tech leaker. As a product Intel has deeply optimized for AI inference workloads, the images offer a rare look at its internal hardware layout.
The exposed front and back circuit patterns reveal an advanced PCIe Gen5+ gold finger design. The central area features a large GPU core pad, while the rear side is equipped with the latest 12V-2x6 power supply pads to ensure stable power delivery under heavy loads.
20 LPDDR5X Memory Chips Onboard
The most groundbreaking aspect of this hardware lies in its memory configuration. The PCB is densely populated with 20 LPDDR5X memory pads, allowing the card to support up to 160GB of ultra-large video memory—a highly competitive feature in the current AI inference hardware market.
Regarding power supply design, the card also boasts robust component selection. Professional hardware media analysis suggests that based on the shape differences of the inductor pads, the GPU will feature 15-phase core power and 3-phase memory power. Additionally, the board reserves space for a BMC management chip and a side USB-C interface, likely for debugging.

According to Intel's previously announced official product roadmap, Crescent Island is primarily targeted at the air-cooled server market. It is built on Intel's latest Xe3P microarchitecture and natively supports a wide range of advanced data types, including FP8 and MXFP4.
