Google unveils Nano Banana 2 Lite, an AI image model that generates images in 4 seconds for high-volume content production
On Tuesday, Google officially released its latest self-developed AI model for image and video generation, the Nano Banana 2 Lite . According to Google, compared to the previous standard version, the new model delivers significant speed improvements while substantially reducing user costs.
The key advantage of this model is its extremely low latency, enabling it to generate a high-quality image in just 4 seconds. This makes it ideal for professional workflows that involve frequent rapid edits or high-volume image production within short timeframes.

Available Across All Channels, Replacing the Previous Version
In terms of pricing, generating a 1K-resolution image requires 1120 tokens, at a cost of 0.034 dollars (approximately 0.23 Chinese yuan). The model is now officially available on Google AI Studio, Gemini API, and the Gemini enterprise intelligent platform, and will fully replace the first-generation model, now designated as the "old version."
In addition to the image generation model, Google has expanded the availability of Gemini Omni Flash, with video generation priced at 0.10 dollars per second. At the same time, the new demo application Omni Product Studio can convert static images into "movie-level" e-commerce videos with one click, enabling developers to build a seamless end-to-end multimedia creation experience.
