Google Unveils New AI American Infrastructure Academy Partners

Google has unveiled the second cohort for its AI Academy: American Infrastructure, a program supporting companies that leverage artificial intelligence to tackle challenges in areas like cybersecurity, education, and transportation.
This four-month initiative is tailored for seed to Series A-stage companies, offering equity-free support along with resources such as leadership coaching and sales training. While the program is primarily conducted online, founders will eventually gather in person for a summit at Google's headquarters. Applications opened in late April and closed in mid-May, with selected companies required to meet competitive criteria—including a minimum of six months' runway and demonstrated traction.
Google has a strong track record of identifying promising AI startups. Alumni from the first cohort last year include government contractor Cloverleaf AI, which later secured a $2.8 million seed round, and Zordi, an autonomous agricultural technology company that had already raised $20 million from Khlosa Ventures.
The program also collaborates with leading AI companies that utilize Google Cloud.
The following companies were selected for this latest batch:
- Attuned Intelligence — AI-powered voice agents for call centers.
- Block Harbor — cybersecurity solutions for vehicle systems.
- CircNova — uses AI to analyze RNA for therapeutic development.
- CloudRig — AI technology to help contractors manage schedules, production, and work plans.
- Making Space — connects employers with disabled talent and job seekers.
- MedHaul — connects healthcare organizations with non-emergency medical transportation services for patients with mobility needs.
- Mpathic — automates clinical workflows and provides AI oversight for clinical trials.
- Nimblemind.ai — organizes and manages health data.
- Omnia Fishing — offers personalized fishing recommendations, including locations and essential gear.
- Otrafy — automates supply management processes.
- Partsimony — helps companies build and manage supply chains.
- Satlyt — a computing platform for processing satellite data.
- StudyFetch — delivers personalized learning experiences for students, educators, and institutions.
- Tansy AI — enables users to manage their health, including tracking appointments and medical records.
- Tradeverifyd — assists businesses in monitoring global supply chain risks.
- Vetr Health — provides at-home veterinary care services.
- Waterplan — helps businesses track and manage water-related risks.
This is one of several programs through which Google invests in AI startups and research. TechCrunch recently reported that Google launched its inaugural AI Futures Fund to support startups developing with DeepMind's latest AI tools.
Last year, Google's charitable division committed $20 million to AI researchers and scientists, alongside an AI accelerator program distributing $20 million to nonprofits advancing AI technology. CEO Sundar Pichai also announced a $120 million Global AI Opportunity Fund to make AI education more accessible worldwide.
