In the workplace, this uncertainty is especially pronounced. About 48% of employed Gen Z individuals believe the risks of AI in the workplace already outweigh its convenience.
This cautious stance has also reached education. Although 52% of K-12 students believe AI skills will be essential for future higher education, they are growing more conservative about how schools should use AI.

Despite negative feelings, Generation Z recognizes that AI is an irreversible trend. This "contradictory mindset" defines their current relationship with technology: they depend on its powerful capabilities but remain wary of its threats to privacy and career prospects.
