Financial large model market surges 90% in a year; Baidu Intelligent Cloud retains top spot

The adoption of generative AI in the financial sector is accelerating faster than expected. According to 36Kr, a recent report from International Data Corporation (IDC) titled "Market Share of Generative AI Platforms and Application Solutions in China's Financial Industry, 2025" reveals notable figures: In 2025, the generative AI market in China's financial industry is poised for explosive growth, reaching a total scale of 1.74 billion yuan, with a year-over-year increase of 90.4%—nearly doubling in just one year.
On this steep upward trajectory, Baidu Intelligent Cloud again takes the lead. Leveraging its dual strengths in technical foundation and practical application scenarios, it holds the top position in China's financial industry generative AI platforms and application solutions market with a 16.6% share, successfully retaining its leadership. When a market expands at nearly 90% growth, sustaining the top share is far more valuable than the number itself.
