ElevenLabs Launches ElevenMusic iOS App, Enters AI Music Creation Market

ElevenLabs, a voice AI powerhouse, launched its iOS app ElevenMusic on April 1st, marking its official entry into AI music creation and social discovery — directly competing with platforms like Suno and Udio.
As a central piece of its audio ecosystem strategy, ElevenMusic lets users generate custom music via natural language prompts, with options to adjust track length, toggle lyrics, and choose art styles. Beyond creation tools, the app deeply integrates streaming social features: real-time radio, preset albums, emotion-based curated playlists, charts, and remixing. Currently, it operates on a free-plus-subscription model — free users get up to 7 creations daily, while the $9.99/month professional plan offers 500 tracks and 500GB of storage per month.
This product launch signals ElevenLabs' strategy to counter the commoditization of audio models and build a diversified media matrix. After closing a $11 billion valuation C-round in February, the company is accelerating from a single voice model to a full-stack creative platform. Building on the commercially safe music model it introduced in August last year, ElevenLabs is now running a comprehensive push across ad generation, voice acting, video production, and copyright distribution. ElevenMusic not only deepens its engagement with end users but also aims to reshape the creator economy in generative music — through recruiting consumer marketers and exploring potential royalty incentive structures.
