ByteDance Unveils Seedance 2.5, Marking the Start of 30-Second Single-Take Film Production
ByteDance Seed team has officially unveiled Seedance 2.5, a next-generation video creation model designed for audio-visual joint generation with a focus on "one-shot filming." This latest iteration delivers breakthrough enhancements across three key areas: extended narrative capabilities, multi-modal referencing, and advanced post-editing tools, effectively supporting diverse applications in film, advertising, education, and industrial sectors.
Seedance 2.5 marks a significant leap in video duration and narrative depth. The maximum single-generation length has doubled from 15 to 30 seconds, with support for seamless multi-round extensions that enable coherent storytelling for complex plots. Addressing the industry-wide issue of "plastic" visuals, the model has been deeply optimized for materials, skin textures, lighting, and saturation, significantly reducing the artificial look of traditional AI videos and delivering a more authentic cinematic quality.

To meet complex creative demands, Seedance 2.5 enhances multi-modal reference capabilities. Users can now upload up to 30 images, 10 video clips, and 10 audio segments in a single session. The addition of white model references and lighting controls ensures more realistic spatial structures, motion paths, and physical lighting, greatly improving stability in group storytelling and multi-subject interactions.
Furthermore, the model excels in editing precision and controllability. The platform enables precise content adjustments via timestamps, allowing creators to refine visual perspectives, camera movement rhythms, and physical effects under green screen backgrounds. This capability significantly reduces the costs associated with repeated generations and post-production editing.
Seedance 2.5 is currently rolling out on platforms such as Ji Meng AI and Dou Bao Professional Edition. API services will soon be available on Huo Yan Fang Zha, providing efficient AI video generation solutions for a broad range of creators and industry ecosystems.
