These new features include webinar hosting, AI-powered podcast analytics, metered paywalls, and paid subscription trials.

The aim is to simplify their workflow by reducing the need to manage multiple disparate tools and services. With these additions, Beehiiv is positioning itself to compete with platforms across the newsletter, webinar, and podcasting sectors—including rivals like Patreon, Substack, Zoom, Kit, and Ghost.
The launch of webinars is perhaps the strongest indicator of the company's direction. Creators can now host live events for up to 10,000 attendees directly within Beehiiv, featuring video, screen sharing, and chat functionalities. Access can be monetized in various currencies or offered for free to help grow an audience. This feature enables new applications for educational content, product demos, and community engagement.

On the monetization front, Beehiiv is introducing tools to help convert new readers into paying subscribers without creating immediate friction. The new metered paywalls allow creators to decide how much free content to provide before prompting for a subscription—whether it's one article or ten. Creators can also set the reset period for this meter to daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or never.
Paid trials are another popular tactic for attracting new subscribers, and Beehiiv now offers flexible controls for them. Creators can set the trial duration, price, and billing cycle—examples include $1 for 30 days or $5 per month for three months.
