Alibaba DAMO Academy's Xuantie C950 Breaks RISC-V Record with Single-Core Score Over 70
At today's 2026 Xuantie RISC-V Ecosystem Conference, Alibaba DAMO Academy unveiled the new flagship processor, Xuantie C950. Developed over two years, this major product achieves a single-core score of over 70 points (SPECint2006), setting a new global performance benchmark for RISC-V CPUs for the first time.
According to technical specifications, the Xuantie C950 is built on a 5nm process and runs at 3.2GHz. Its overall performance is more than three times that of its predecessor, the C920, while memory bandwidth has increased by over four times. On the security front, the processor natively supports confidential computing for secure isolation and data protection, and fully complies with both mandatory and optional RISC-V extension instruction sets.

In response to the generative AI wave, the Xuantie C950 integrates a self-developed AI acceleration engine at the hardware level, becoming the world's first RISC-V processor to natively support large-scale models with hundreds of billions of parameters, such as Qwen3 and DeepSeek V3. This breakthrough significantly strengthens its competitiveness in high-computing applications including cloud computing, high-end robotics, and edge computing.
