Based Hardware just dropped a bombshell in the wearable tech world with their new gadget, Omi. Picture this: a tiny orb that you can wear around your neck or stick on your temple with some medical tape (yeah, it's supposed to be comfy, but I'll let you be the judge of that!). Omi isn't here to steal your smartphone's thunder; it's more like a trusty sidekick. Need to chat in another language? Omi's got you covered with real-time translation. Missed what the professor said because you were busy charming someone in French? No worries, Omi will fill you in. It can also send emails, summarize those endless group chats, and even remind you who your grandkids are (we've all been there, right?).

You won't have to wait too long to get your hands on one—Omi is set to start shipping in mid-2025, and the consumer version will set you back just $89. Not bad for a little AI buddy that's always got your back!

Omi from Based Hardware is wild! It's like having a mini computer on your neck. The idea is cool, but wearing it on my temple? Not sure about that. It's supposed to be comfy, but I'm skeptical. Still, the tech is impressive, just needs a better design!

O Omi da Based Hardware é louco!

No estoy seguro.

Omi is cool and all, but wearing it on my temple? Not my style. The idea of an AI 'brain interface' sounds futuristic, but the execution feels a bit gimmicky. It's fun to play around with, but I'm not sure I'd use it daily. Maybe if it was less intrusive, I'd give it a higher rating.
