AMD CEO Dr. Lisa Su plans to visit South Korea next month for face-to-face meetings with Samsung Electronics executives to discuss AI chip and technology collaboration. The key focus is securing Samsung as a supplier for AMD's HBM4 high-bandwidth memory. This follows a March memorandum of understanding regarding AI storage and computing technology. If the visit results in formal orders, Samsung will officially join AMD's supply chain for next-generation AI accelerator memory, leveraging South Korea's advanced semiconductor production capacity.
