South Korea broke ground on the KOACC AI computing center in Jeollanam-do on August 3, with a 2.5 trillion KRW investment and a 2028 completion target. Samsung SDS leads the consortium with 30% stake, alongside government agencies and NAVER Cloud. The facility will offer cost-effective AI computing globally and support domestic NPU chip development.
