At WWDC, LM Studio and Apple ran Moonshot AI's 1-trillion-parameter Kimi K2.6 model on four Mac Studios with M3 Ultra chips. Using Thunderbolt 5 RDMA, they unified ~2TB memory into a single pool, achieving 28 tokens/s inference with low power. LM Link enables secure remote access. This shows Apple Silicon as a cost-effective alternative to GPU clusters for large model deployment.
